Email Setup Guide
- Outlook 2000 for the PC - Secure SMTP

This guide assumes
your email account is already setup and working in Outlook 2000
(Internet mode). If you need assistance to setup a new account

To begin open Outlook 2000 |

1)Click the 'Tools' menu. |
2)Select 'Accounts'. (If you see 'Services' Outlook 2000 is running in Corporate Mode and you will not be able to continue with this guide.) |

3)Select your mail account. |
4)Click the [Properities] button. |

5)Select the 'Servers' tab. |
6)Tick the check box next to 'My server requires authenication'. |
7)Click the [Settings] button. (Another dialog box will appear as shown above). |
8)Ensure there is a dot next to 'Use the same settings as my incoming mail server' (this should be selected by default). |
9)Click the [OK] button. |

10)Select the 'Advanced' tab. |
11)Tick the box next to 'This servers requires a secure connection'. Replace default outgoing mail port 25 with port 465. |
12)Click the [OK] button and click [Close] on the Internet Accounts dialog box. |
Your account in Outlook 2000 is now configured to use Secure SSL. |
